Hosbec launches the ‘HOSBEC BUSINESS’ brand to position itself in the meetings and incentives market

The Valencian hotel business association HOSBEC has created the new brand 'HOSBEC BUSINESS' with the aim of positioning its hotels and the Valencian Community as a destination in the MICE industry
With 40 hotels, 6900 rooms and 189 rooms and halls adapted for the celebration of events in the Valencian Community, HOSBEC Business wants to represent institutionally and give greater visibility, both nationally and internationally, to all the hotels members of the association and oriented to the MICE and Business market segment.

Through this new product club, HOSBEC aims to establish itself as a channel for positioning and improving the MICE and Business market in the Valencian Community and to become a leader of the hotel offer in this niche, taking advantage of the active role of the employers’ association in the main socio-economic, business and tourism institutions of the Valencian Community.

HOSBEC Business has 40 hotels – 32 aimed at the MICE market and 8 at the Business market – with a total of 6,900 rooms and 189 rooms and halls adapted for the celebration of any type of event. The province of Alicante has 23 hotels associated with Hosbec Business (18 MICE and 5 Business), Valencia has 10 (9 MICE and 1 Business), while Castellón has 7 establishments (5 MICE and 2 Business).

With the creation of Hosbec Business we intend to boost the positioning of the Valencia Region as a destination for meetings, incentives, events and congresses.

Thanks to the institutional position of HOSBEC, we want to improve the current image of the Valencian Region in business tourism, showing the quality of the accommodations adhered to HOSBEC Business as leading examples for the celebration of any type of event, congress and meeting. HOSBEC Business seeks to be the actor on which the institutional representation of the sector and its accommodations within the region is based, as the Valencian Region can and should aspire to be a destination of reference both nationally and internationally

With the aim of energizing and establishing the Comunitat Valenciana as a MICE destination of international reference, HOSBEC Business has participated throughout 2022 in 3 fairs, several meetings and events, maintaining direct contact with more than 40 national and international agents interested in developing events and implementing the different congress spaces, as well as the adapted accommodations in their agendas.

The Valencian Community is one of the most competitive tourist destinations at national level, also within the framework of MICE tourism, a market that reinforces the deseasonalization of the sector as it attracts visitors throughout the year, and increases the average expenditure per tourist. As an example, in 2019, the average expenditure per MICE tourist in Spain was 330% higher than that of holiday tourists

In terms of infrastructure, the Valencian Region has six conference centers, four fairgrounds with more than 230,000 m2, several congress and exhibition centers, and an infinite number of unique venues.

The hotel industry undoubtedly provides a differential value to the Valencian Region as a MICE destination. HOSBEC Business member hotels alone offer more than 180 rooms and halls for events, ranging from small meetings to large conference and meeting rooms.

Created in 1977, the Hotel and Tourism Business Association of the Valencian Community (HOSBEC) has 309 members located in 43 destinations in the three provinces of the Valencian Community and a total of 100,118 beds. It is currently the institution with the largest business representation of tourist accommodation companies in the Valencian Community.
