Cubex Centre Prague has once again placed Prague at the forefront of the European meetings industry after being named Best Small Convention Centre at the Meetings Star Awards 2025/2026. The distinction — frequently described as the “three Michelin stars of the meetings industry” — reaffirms the venue’s standing among Europe’s most innovative and high-performing event destinations.

Following the final assessment by an independent international jury, Cubex Centre Prague secured first place in the Small Convention Centres category with an outstanding overall score of 4.970 out of 5. The venue ranked ahead of prominent European competitors including LCK Lublin Conference Centre (4.965) and Congress Centrum Alpbach (4.935), highlighting the consistently exceptional standards achieved across all evaluation criteria.
The award ceremony took place on February 11, 2026, during the Meetings Star gala evening at Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana, Slovenia, as part of Conventa — one of the region’s leading industry gatherings, attracting more than 400 senior meetings professionals. David Urban, Event Director at Cubex Centre Prague, accepted the award on behalf of the team.
This award is a powerful acknowledgment of what our team has been building since day one. Cubex was conceived as a venue that challenges conventions - through architecture, technology, sustainability, and the way we work with organisers. Being recognised as the best small convention centre, and earning what many see as the industry’s equivalent of three Michelin stars, shows that this approach delivers real value on an international level.

A Contemporary venue with a defined identity
Since opening in 2018, Cubex Centre Prague has established itself as a purpose-built, mid-sized convention venue inspired by Czech cubism and located in Prague’s dynamic Pankrác business district. As part of a LEED Platinum-certified building, it is widely considered the city’s most sustainable event venue, seamlessly combining environmental responsibility with state-of-the-art technical capabilities — key attributes for today’s global event market.
The centre features 3,700 sqm of flexible event space, including eight meeting halls, three foyers and two bars, accommodating up to 1,400 participants. Its main hall seats up to 1,000 delegates in theatre configuration, positioning Cubex among the most capable mid-sized convention venues in Central Europe.

For larger congresses, capacity can be expanded to 1,700 participants through direct integration with the adjacent Conference Centre City, or up to 2,112 participants within the broader Prague Event Hub ecosystem — offering scalable solutions without compromising quality.
Technological highlights include a 360° panoramic projection system, a 102 sqm media wall, and the signature Chameleon Concept lighting system, incorporating more than 325 metres of programmable LED strips to create fully immersive event environments.
In the Meetings Star evaluation process, Cubex achieved top marks in critical categories such as conference facilities, lighting design, acoustics, multimedia infrastructure, sustainability strategy and service excellence — culminating in a final score of 4.97, a result typically reserved for only the most distinguished venues worldwide.
